  • "Lagom" is a Swedish value meaning 'just enough', or everything in moderation

  • High emphasis on integrity, modesty, and politeness​

  • As discussed in our meetings, many people do not boast name-brand items or clothing and often live in the same types of housing​

Traditional Foods
  • Diet rich in fish due to historical reliance on fishin

  • Fika is a daily break for coffee and pastries - often with friends. It is used as a time to relax and enjoy the small things in life

  • Smörgåsbord is a traditional Swedish dish consisting of a variety of meats, cheeses, and salads

  • Krispbread is often served with meals
