Alpha Lambda Delta/Phi Eta Sigma is the honors society at IUI. We invite first year students to join after achieving a 3.5 GPA during their first semester. During my second year at IUI, I served as the Vice President of Alpha Lambda Delta. In doing so, I organized officer meetings, events, and overall helped establish communication throughout the organization. In being a Vice President, I had the great opportunity to go to the National ALD conference hosted in Denver, Colorado. There, we talked with other officers from ALD across the country, gaining more ideas for our own chapter. At the end of my second year, we organized the SamStrong dance, an event to honor a former member of ALDPES who passed away and raise money for cancer research. Now, in my third year, I act as a student advisor to help the current Vice President and officer team navigate their roles within the organization.
