Hon-H 200: Introduction to Honors Peer Mentor
HON-H 200: Introduction to Honors is a class that all Honors students are required to take. Most students take it during their second semester of their first year on campus. The objective of the class is to help students navigate their roles, identity, and responsibilities as an Honors student. To learn more about my own experience in the class, click here.
I have participated in the class as a peer mentor during spring of 2024 and the fall of 2024. In this role, I help carry out the lessons each week by providing visual aids or other resources. I also help answer any questions that the students might have. In addition to my work within the class, I lead one-on-one peer mentor meetings with each student in the class to support them.
This experience has allowed me to become more involved within the Honors college, working alongside other Honors students and instructors. I have gained a sense of my own identity as an Honors students and highlighted my personal values.
